The Need

2,500 tonnes of NORM contaminated produced water, resulting from a decommissioning project, were to be collected and treated.

The Solution

ASCO provided the full cycle of collection, logistics, treatment and disposal or reuse of the produced water on behalf of its client.

ASCO was able to handle this project with only 14 days’ notice by virtue of our strong relationship and history with the Port of Tyne and Interterminals to secure both tank storage and the regulatory permits required in order to hold and treat the water.

The Benefits

• The quickest method of dealing with produced water

• No additional POB required

• Zero HSE incidents reported

• ASCO’s dedicated team gave its client peace of mind by taking full responsibility for all legislative and environmental compliance on their behalf and handling the entire process, from collection at the port to disposal or reuse.
