Last week, Lloyd's Register visited the ASCO Group headquarters in Aberdeen, Dyce, to present our recently awarded ISO:45001 certificate.

The accreditation, which recognises our exceptional occupational health and safety management systems in the UK, Norway, Australia, and Trinidad, was awarded at the end of last year.

The certificate was presented to ASCO Group CEO, Peter France, by David Derrick, UK & Ireland Area Operations Manager at Lloyd's Register (pictured).

ASCO was one of the first companies to adopt the new standard at the end of 2018, highlighting the Group's commitment to continual improvement and health and safety in the workplace.

We continue to enjoy a long-standing partnership with Lloyd's Register and achieving ISO:45001 is a culmination of the many years of effort of our people in creating, maintaining, and developing the ASCO Integrated Management System.

Since ASCO was awarded the ISO:9001 certification in 1996, we have successfully achieved the relevant standards developed by ISO for its quality, environmental and health and safety management systems.

On presenting the certificate, Mr Derrick, said: "It was a pleasure to present the ISO:45001 certificate in person to the ASCO team. Their achievement as well as their engagement throughout the certification process shows continuous commitment to improving their health and safety culture. It was great to see the processes and hard work of the team in action when I visited the ASCO Group headquarters and looking forward to seeing the company build on this achievement in the future."
