Mike Pettigrew

Mike Pettigrew

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) 

Mike Pettigrew is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of ASCO. He joined the company in  2022 and was appointed CEO in October 2023. He brings over 20 years of leadership experience across Defence, Energy, Power, and Aerospace.

Mike has led ASCO through a period of global expansion, diversification and operational integration. His leadership has centred on raising standards, simplifying delivery, and consistently exceeding client expectations.

He is focused on building a resilient, future-ready organisation that delivers across energy, defence, utilities and industrial sectors, while adapting to the demands of a rapidly changing global landscape.

His previous roles include Executive Director at Altrad Services UK and several Managing Director positions at Babcock International, including MD of Warships, and MD of Babcock Design & Technology. He also held national and international leadership roles at Rolls-Royce, within its Power Generation, Transmission, and Distribution division.

Mike has contributed to shaping the wider industry, having served on the boards of Decom North Sea, Scottish Engineering and the Offshore Contractors Association (OCA).

Managing Director - Norway

Runar is Managing Director of ASCO Norway. He joined the company in 2006 and has been instrumental in expanding ASCO’s operations within the Norwegian market.

Under his leadership, ASCO Norway has diversified beyond its traditional oil and gas base to establish a presence in the retail, renewables, and metals sectors. Runar’s extensive experience in logistics, business development, and strategic management has been key to this success.

He holds degree qualifications in Logistics Management, Business, Marketing and Economics from the Norwegian School of Management and the Nordic Business Institute.

Allan Scott

Managing Director - Integrated Services

Allan Scott is Managing Director of Integrated Services at ASCO. He was appointed to the role in 2024, following a series of senior positions within the business since joining in 2015, including Group Materials & Innovation Director.

With over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, Allan has played a key role in transforming supply chain practices for ASCO’s clients globally, helping them drive greater efficiency, innovation, and performance across complex operations. His strategic focus on systems, processes, technology, and people continues to deliver significant value within ASCO’s integrated services.

Before joining ASCO, Allan spent 16 years at Robert Gordon University, where he held various lecturing positions and served as MBA Director.

He holds a PhD in Glass Chemistry and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration from Lancaster University.

Fraser McIntyre

General Counsel 

Fraser McIntyre is General Counsel of ASCO. He joined the company in 2012 and is responsible for all legal, governance, property, supply chain, and insurance matters across ASCO’s global operations. He also serves as Company Secretary.

Fraser develops and oversees resilient governance frameworks, ensuring compliance, risk management, and regulatory adherence across all jurisdictions. He provides strategic legal and commercial guidance, manages corporate risk, and supports the board and executive team in decision-making that safeguards ASCO’s operations and reputation.

A qualified lawyer and notary public, Fraser brings extensive experience in corporate law, risk management, and compliance. 

Fraser holds an LLB from the University of Strathclyde and an LLM from the University of Glasgow.

Tony Wright

Chief Financial Officer (CFO) 

Tony Wright is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ASCO. He joined the company in 2023, bringing over 25 years of international financial leadership experience within the energy and construction sectors.

A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants, Tony has held senior executive positions across the UK, Middle East, South East Asia, and Africa, including Executive Director and Group CFO of Lamprell PLC in the United Arab Emirates.

Throughout his career, Tony has led finance functions across complex global organisations, with extensive expertise in public equity and debt markets, investor relations, cost management, and strategic business partnering. His broad financial international experience play a key role in supporting ASCO’s long-term growth and operational excellence.

Fraser Stewart

Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

Fraser Stewart is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of ASCO. He was appointed to the role in 2023, having previously served as Managing Director, International. Fraser joined the company in 2001 as a Graduate Trainee and has since held a range of senior roles across the organisation.

Over the course of his career, Fraser has worked across all of ASCO’s international locations, including leading the business in Trinidad and Australia, and completing a five-year secondment in Calgary, Canada. His background spans business development, commercial strategy, and client delivery, with a strong focus on driving sustainable growth. He has also led complex consultancy projects for clients in the UK, USA, Canada, and Norway.

As Chief Commercial Officer, Fraser is responsible for leading ASCO’s global commercial strategy, aligning market growth with operational excellence and long-term client partnerships.

He holds an MA (Hons) from the University of Aberdeen and is a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Logistics and Transport.

Steve Mitchell

Managing Director - Global Operations

Steve Mitchell is Managing Director of Global Operations at ASCO. He joined the company in 2018 as Group Operations & HSSEQ Director before being appointed to his current role in 2024.

Steve oversees ASCO’s global operations portfolio, driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and the delivery of integrated services across multiple sectors and regions. He is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable project execution, optimising supply chain and logistics performance, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across ASCO’s international operations.

With over 35 years of experience in the energy industry, Steve has held senior leadership roles in Operations, Process Safety, Projects, and Supply Chain Management across major international operators including Maersk Oil, Total, Kerr-McGee, Chevron, and Oryx Energy.

Steve holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain Management from Robert Gordon University.
