ASCO has formally received the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award, recognising its continued commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community.
ASCO representatives Craig Revie, Kirstin McKellar and Aimee Warrander accepted the award at a ceremony held at The Black Watch Castle and Museum in Perth on 3 September.
The Silver Award builds on ASCO's Bronze recognition achieved in May 2024 and follows two years of activity aimed at strengthening the company's support for Reservists, veterans, service leavers and Armed Forces families.
This has included ASCO's role as co-chair of OEUK's Industry Armed Forces Forum, contributing to skills mapping to support service leavers moving into the energy sector, delivering webinars in partnership with the Career Transition Partnership and welcoming cadets into ASCO facilities for industry insight visits.
ASCO has also established CV review support for ex-Forces candidates and worked with industry partners to explore training and career pathways that help translate Armed Forces skills and experience into opportunities across industry.

The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme recognises organisations that actively demonstrate their support for the Armed Forces community and the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant.
Silver Award holders are expected to demonstrate that support in practice, including through positive employment policies, support for Reservists and additional leave for Reservist training.
The award reflects ASCO's continued focus on building meaningful relationships with the Armed Forces community and creating opportunities for the skills, experience and perspective of serving personnel, veterans and their families to be recognised across industry.
