This month, ASCO's supply base in Farsund celebrated reaching over 14 years, which equates to 5,000 days without a Lost Time Injury (LTI) across the site.

Our base in Farsund was established in 2007, providing cost effective supply base and storage options to our clients. The base features state-of-the-art warehouse facilities providing cost effective long-term storage and terminal service.

In addition to serving customers in the oil and gas service, Team ASCO Farsund is ALCOA`s main provider of quay side operations and terminal handling. Each year handling over 300 000 tons of cargo on their behalf.

This LTI achievement demonstrates the dedication of the team and how safety can be managed when dealing with complex operations.

Eivind Reisvaag Sunde, Farsund Base Manager commented: "We share this great achievement together with our wonderful customers! This victory is most of all a result of joint effort where we have succeeded in maintaining focus on continuous improvement over time, driven by ASCO standards and customer’s expectations and demand for safe operations. Next goal; 6000 days!"

Steve Mitchell, Group Operations & HSSEQ Director at ASCO also commented: "I am delighted for everyone across Farsund on reaching 14 years LTI free, their combined commitment to safety excellence is exactly what it takes to create a truly positive safety culture. What a fantastic achievement!"
