Aberdeen is the spiritual home of ASCO, it's where we started life as the Aberdeen Service Company in 1967. Today, Aberdeen is home to our corporate HQ based in Dyce, and we are the largest private company working in Aberdeen Harbour. Dyce currently hosts ASCO's NSL training and ASCO Freight Management businesses as well as significant warehousing sites for clients. In addition, we operate over 30,000sqm of warehousing within a 10 mile radius of the harbour.
The integrated operations hub we deploy in Aberdeen (and all our UK operating locations) enables us to deliver a fully comprehensive service to our customers. These services include cargo operations, warehousing, MGO supply, transport, receipt and dispatch, waste management, marine control and ship agency.
We operate three quayside locations within Aberdeen harbour that collectively handle some 507,000 tonnes of deck cargo for major IOC customers per year across 1,800 vessel turnarounds.
We operate the quaysides at Albert Quay and Mearns Quay and a R&D facility at Clipper Quay in Aberdeen for other operating customers and can schedule capacity as required. Key advantages ASCO has over others is our ability to directly load Marine Gas Oil and water without having to delay or move vessels to other quaysides.
