ASCO is a key partner for this year's Decom Week 2023 event in Aberdeen.
Organised by Decom North Sea, in partnership with ASCO, Bureau Veritas Marine and Offshore and James Fisher Decommissioning, the full event will run from the 15th - 19th of May and will include networking opportunities, an awards dinner and a conference which will take place on the 17th and 18th of May at the Ardoe House Hotel in Aberdeen.
This year's event will focus on the factors influencing and inciting change in the industry, emphasising how the late life and decommissioning sector can make the most of the opportunities these changes present.
Our Head of Environmental and Decommissioning, Chris Lloyd, Business Development Manager - Environmental & Decommissioning, Lee Vettese, UK Environmental Technical Manager, Kelly Smith, and Environmental Improvement Coordinator, Robin Small, will be available during the event to discuss how our full suite of specialist capabilities can support you at every stage of your decommissioning project, from any location.
Chris will speak at the conference during the People and skills: recruitment and retention & development session on Wednesday 17th of May, sharing his thoughts on resource shortages in the decommissioning sector.
ASCO supports decommissioning projects with fully integrated logistics and materials management services, including supply base management, marine services, ship agency, quayside services, storage, transportation, lifting, environmental services, NORM solutions, fuel provision and project management services.
The Decom North Sea Awards will take place during the event, on the evening of Tuesday 16th of May. ASCO is a finalist for the Sustainability Award which will be presented to a company who has made a significant impact in driving energy efficiencies, the circular economy or decarbonisation aligned with the Energy Transition in the last 12 months.
