NSL LOLER Competent Person Assessment​ (LCP) - Two Days

To establish that delegates have the required knowledge, understanding and practical skills to undertake the role of a LOLER Competent Person at the workplace.​

DELEGATE PRE-REQUISITES

A letter from the current employer recommending delegates for LCP assessment including references to supervisory and command and control capabilities, as well as confirming their relevant experience. Knowledge and experience should include;

1. LOLER, PUWER and HASAWA regulations
2. Safe Systems of Work
3. Assessment of personnel
4. Management of personnel
5. The inspection of lifting equipment and the concept of discard criteria
6. Safe use of lifting equipment
7. The management of rigging lofts
8. The planning of lifting operations
9. Risk assessment

If delegates do not posses the relevant knowledge and experience then the NSL offers the following training courses to meet the knowledge elements stated and to prepare the delegate for the LCP Assessment:

1-Day HASAWA, PUWER and LOLER
(element 1)
1-Day Loft Management
(elements 5 and 7)
1-Day Lifting Ops Planning and Risk Assessment
(elements 8 and 9)
