COVID-19

Dear all,

Please find below the latest update regarding COVID-19 testing in the UK.

According to the NHS, the main symptoms of COVID-19 are now:

  • high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

You must self-isolate for at least seven days if you have any of these symptoms.

The NHS have confirmed that the COVID-19 test is only reliable when you display coronavirus symptoms. If you are experiencing one of those symptoms described above, you are eligible to book a test here. If you do not have symptoms you should not apply for a test.

Please continue to use the COVID email address (zzRM-COVID-19@ascoworld.com) for any queries that you may have. You can also review all updates on our dedicated SharePoint page here: https://ascogroup.sharepoint.com/sites/corona

If you are in any doubt about symptoms, testing, or have any other concerns, please discuss with your line manager in the first instance.

        Kind regards,

        The Task Force Team
