Lateral Flow Testing

COVID-19

Dear all,

Currently, around 1 in 3 people with COVID-19 do not show symptoms, meaning they can easily spread the virus to others without knowing.

The NHS Scotland are currently recommending using lateral flow tests twice a week where possible to check and limit the spread of the virus. Regular testing also helps the NHS to find positive cases in people who have no symptoms but are still infectious.

Although it is not mandatory to take a lateral flow test prior to coming to work, we would encourage you to follow the guidance as a way to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

A negative lateral flow device test does not guarantee that you do not have coronavirus. You must continue to follow the latest government advice and restrictions in place in your area.

Lateral flow tests are available to order for free, you can order these for Scotland here and England here.
