COVID-19

Dear all,

Return to the workplace

We have made the decision due to the current fluidity with COVID-19, and an increasing R rate, that homeworkers will not return to the workplace until early 2021.

We will keep this timescale under review and share with you any plans for a managed and phased return when it is time to do so.

If you are finding it hard to work from home, please speak to your line manager in the first instance and we will do the best we can to find a solution for you.

Collecting equipment

We understand that working from home can be a very different set up from what you would normally have in the office, and with this being extended we are more than happy for you to go into the office to collect equipment if this is required.

If you wish to collect any extra screens, chairs etc, please get in touch with facilities to arrange this.

Controlling the spread

The UK Government has created a very interesting video as part of a recent campaign which focuses on the spread of Coronavirus and how following hygiene measures and social distancing can significantly limit the exposure. It is important that we all continue to adhere to these and do not become complacent.

Please do make sure you also keep up to date with specific advice in your location, with regard to any additional restrictions or controls.

You can watch the video here.

Test and Protect app

NHS Scotland has created an app called 'Protect Scotland' which is being used to help suppress the spread of Coronavirus.

The app focuses solely on proximity tracing. If an individual tested positive for COVID-19, they will be sent a unique code to their mobile. If they give permission, the data will then be sent to a server so close contacts also using the app can be notified by text and advised to self-isolate. It does not include symptom checking as this is available via the NHS 24 COVID-19 app.

This is a really useful app and we recommend downloading this if you have a smartphone. A similar app will be launched across England and Wales on 24 September.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please email zzRM-COVID-19@ascoworld.com

Stay safe,

The Taskforce Team
