COVID-19

Dear all,

As we are taking things day by day, we wanted to ensure you have all of the up to date and helpful information at this time.

In the UK, the majority of some businesses and venues are closing e.g. cinemas, cafes, restaurants, salons etc in order to tackle the spread of COVID-19 following the call to action to isolate or socially distance.

What is social distancing?

Social distancing measures are steps you can take to reduce social interaction between people. This will help to reduce the transmission of coronavirus (COVID-19) while protecting yourself and others.

Please:

  1. Avoid contact with someone who is displaying symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19). These symptoms include high temperature and/or new and continuous cough
  2. Avoid non-essential use of public transport when possible
  3. Work from home, where possible
  4. Avoid large and small gatherings in public spaces, noting that pubs, restaurants, leisure centres and similar venues are currently shut as infections spread easily in closed spaces where people gather together
  5. Avoid gatherings with friends and family
  6. Use telephone or online services to contact your GP or other essential services

Everyone should be trying to follow these measures as much as is practicable.

Please watch the World Health Organisation's video here regarding advice for social distancing.

Alongside this, be sure to continue washing your hands often, avoid touching your face and be sure to cough or sneeze into a tissue or your elbow and disinfect any frequently touched objects in your home.

All important procedures and forms are available on the ASCO intranet site.

We also wanted to take a minute to thank all of our employees who are currently still out at work delivering service excellence daily.

Please continue to use the COVID email address (zzRM-COVID-19@ascoworld.com) for any queries that you may have.

Kind regards,

The HSSEQ Team
