Overview

This 2-day course is aimed at personnel who offer dangerous goods for transport. The aim of the course is to confirm that students can prepare a dangerous goods shipment in accordance with the requirements of the IMDG Code

Course Content

The course will ensure that personnel responsible for shipping dangerous goods can:

  • Understand and apply the IMDG Dangerous Goods Regulations
  • Understand dangerous goods responsibilities
  • Classify dangerous goods according to the type of hazard and degree of danger
  • Understand and apply the information contained in the Dangerous Goods List
  • Identify proper shipping names
  • Correctly pack dangerous goods in the appropriate packaging
  • Mark and label packages
  • Pack and placard containers
  • Segregate dangerous goods correctly

Course Info

PRICE: £250


CERTIFICATE: In-house training provider certificate. Certificates awarded after successful completion of the course will be valid for a 2-year period after which re-certification must take place.
 

CRITERIA: The Candidate must attend the entire course, pass an exam, adhere to course content and demonstrate the required practical application techniques.
 

DURATION: 2 days
 

LOCATION: This course is usually delivered at an NSL Training Centre, but can be delivered at a client’s premises.
