This course is designed for personnel who risk exposure to asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) during their operational duties.
The course provides participants with knowledge of:
- Properties & health risks of asbestos
- Identification & material types
- Emergency procedures
- Risk avoidance
- Regulatory compliance
- Safe working techniques
- Control measures
- Personal protection
- Hygiene & safe disposal
Who will benefit
Anyone whose work could disturb asbestos.
Structure: Combines instructor-led theory, HSE educational resources and practical hands-on training, with a formal written assessment to demonstrate knowledge and competence.
Duration: 1 day course, or ½ day course if no practical assessment
Certificate: Upon successful completion of the assessments, candidates will receive a NSL Training certificate valid for one year. Annual refresher training is mandatory thereafter to maintain valid certification.
Location: Can be delivered at our training centre or onsite at client premises
Price: £220, or £125 if no practical assessment
