Equinor has extended its base contract agreement with ASCO in Sandnessjøen, Norway, until 2027.
The agreement further secures jobs at ASCO's base in Sandnesjøen , providing stability and certainty for its stakeholders.
Managing Director of ASCO Norway, Runar Hatletvedt, said: "This is very gratifying and an important contract for us."
Equinor has been an important customer for ASCO Norway for several years, and the company has had the framework agreement for terminal and storage services in Sandnessjøen since 2015. The announcement of a further extension to 2027 is positive news, as Equinor earlier this year exercised a 2-year option for the period 1 July 2023 – 30 June 2025.
Head of Strategy and Business Development for ASCO Norway, Ståle Edvardsen, said: "A further contract extension until 2027 contributes to stability and predictability in a market situation characterised by a high rate of change and great uncertainty; this gives us the peace of mind to further develop our strategies in order to be even better positioned for new tenders and business areas."
