ASCO Workforce Solutions are hiring for a Warehouse Operative to to effectively control lifting/loading/unloading duties associated with Shipping, Returns, and Inventory activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Warehouse Specific procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver task Toolbox Talk(s) prior to each new task (When acting as Banksman)
- Ensure PPE is applicable to the task and utilised by the team (When acting as Banksman)
- Supervise and perform Cargo Handling duties in accordance with OPITO Banksman Slinger standard and those described in the OGUK Best Practice for the Safe Packing and Handling of Cargo to and from Offshore Locations (when acting as Banksman).
- Conduct 360-degree visual inspection of all Loads for Damage / signs of Overloading and potential Dropped Objects
- Confirm accuracy of CCU ID numbers against manifests / paperwork
- Review and/or comply with work aids and risk assessment control measures.
- Liaise with Chargehand (Base Foreman in absence of Chargehand) and communicate any problems or delays associated with cargo handling operations.
- Actively ensure high house housekeeping standards are maintained in the yard
- Follow documented Lifting Plans
- Operate Overhead Gantry Crane
- Conduct other duties as required in support of the Shipping, Returns and Inventory Teams
