Global supply chain company, ASCO, has built an enviable reputation for its ability to create new standards in materials and logistics management via innovative technology and practice. The company has kicked off the new decade with a clear demonstration of this attitude via two key appointments.

Focusing on ASCO’s marine gas oil (MGO) business, Peter Hollister has been appointed to the role of Group Head of Fuels and Lubricants. With over 25 years’ experience within both the operator and supply chain communities, his expertise lies across the spectrum of operational and logistic fuel management, from refining to retail supply.

Commenting on his appointment, Peter said: “ASCO is leading the way in redressing the commoditisation of the MGO sector, ensuring all future work in this area provides both optimal results and best practice. In this, ASCO’s commitment to “service excellence” is clear and I’m excited to embark on this role, as we continue to strengthen our global position.”

As the offshore industry continues to be scrutinised for its impact upon the environment, the ability to comply with environmental regulations and account for all waste materials becomes increasingly important. As the only UKCS’ only integrated waste management service, ASCO’s objective is to ensure that clients meet those critical obligations. Taking the reins in this respect, Chris Lloyd returns to ASCO after a 13-year break, as Group Head of Waste and Decommissioning.

Latterly CEO of industrial cleaning company MSIS and known to the many within the industry from his time previous time with ASCO and as Aberdeen Harbour Board Chairman, Chris said: “There is no doubt that the waste management sector is both challenging and unpredictable. However, I believe that this challenge is full of opportunity, as ASCO has created an enviable position from which to operate, with the highly innovative capability to manage waste across the entire offshore lifecycle.”

Of the double appointment, ASCO CEO, Peter France said: “ASCO’s ongoing strategy is to continually strengthen our leading position within the energy market. This is achieved by providing the very best in people, processes and technology. Both Peter and Chris bring unrivalled expertise and reputation in these three, key areas; they will prove to be a tremendous addition to the leadership team.”
