Dear all,
It is great news to see restrictions being lifted in some parts of the world with the mass vaccination campaign progressing. These are positive signs indicating we are progressively moving into a new normal way of living; we must however remember that we aren't out of this yet and the news reports we all see from India serve as a timely reminder against becoming complacent about COVID-19.
Here at ASCO we still have reports of a rise in cases in some of our locations across the globe and of some employees in self isolation from the track and trace service in the UK.
We understand everyone's desire to be free of COVID-19, but we must not become complacent and remember the risks when it comes to the safety rules and precautions we have in place.
Please also remember that ASCO will support you in giving you reasonable paid time off work to travel to and from your vaccination appointment ensuring you don't have to take unpaid leave, please talk to your Line Manager to arrange this once you have received your letter.
