Dear all,
We have seen a large increase in infection rates across Scotland and in England recently.
Although it has been great seeing a number of you returning to our offices and sites, we have made the decision to:
- Slow down the return to the office as per the roadmap and remain in Level 1 (see here) until further notice.
- Limit site visits from clients and suppliers - If you feel a visit is business necessary, please ensure any requests are sent through to zzRM-COVID-19@ascoworld.com ahead of the visit and ensure COVID-19 induction is carried out on arrival. Site visits must be pre-authorised by the taskforce.
- Carry out meetings through Microsoft Teams as much as possible.
- If you are visiting any client sites, please remain cautious and follow any rules they currently have in place.
Rules and hygiene measures in place to avoid the spread of the virus
To avoid the spread of the virus, we would like to remind you to follow at all times the current rules and hygiene measures in place whether on site or in an office:
- Facemasks remain mandatory - staff are to wear masks at all times in the building, unless seated.
- Self-awareness of social distancing is expected, paying close attention to zones such as stairwells, lifts or kitchen where distancing will be restricted. Any capacity limits or restrictions will be clearly identified on displayed signage so please ensure to observe these at all times.
- Wash your hands frequently with hot soapy water and make use of the sanitising stations available at reception areas and across all sites.
- When coughing and sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a flexed elbow or a tissue.
- If you have any symptoms, ensure you get tested immediately.
- Do not attend any sites if you are experiencing any COVID symptoms.
The below measures are not mandatory but are advised (particularly when visiting any sites):
- Temperature checking on site
- The NHS recommend people to take two lateral flow tests per week freely available from the NHS (details to order online here), and follow government guidance if you test positive.
Outside of the workplace it is just as important to follow the hygiene measures mentioned above and pay attention to local government guidance.
Rules for isolation
If you are unsure on the current rules for isolation, please see the attached flowchart for Scotland here and England here, both of these are also available on the COVID-19 section of Connect here.
If you have any queries or concerns, please email zzRM-COVID-19@ascoworld.com
Stay Safe,
