Dear all,

With everything going on in the world it is easy to focus on the negatives, but it is always important to celebrate success and say thank you. It has been a very difficult time for the industry and COVID-19 has impacted all of our lives. We have had to make difficult decisions and we are not sure when life will return to normal.

However, two years ago today, I joined ASCO and I want to thank everyone for embracing our obsessions of safety and service delivery excellence. 2019 delivered the best safety record in the recent history of ASCO, our service delivery was recognised by our customers as outstanding and we created a positive culture with the strengthening of our values. In 2020 we have continued to make further progress and I just want to thank and recognise all of our staff, as well as our suppliers and of course our customers for putting their trust in us.

We have a challenging time ahead of us, as the Energy sector is embarking on a transition resulting in deep industrial transformation. I have never been more convinced of the relevance of our vision: "creating the next generation of logistics and materials management" to support the Energy sector with producing the low carbon energy the world needs by delivering our clients' materials in a safe, efficient and sustainable way. We will do that while reducing our own environmental footprint and shaping a low carbon supply chain.

We will support our clients in their journey towards the Energy transition, their diversification into new energy sources, the decommissioning of assets and the vital work of delivering safe operations on current and future developments.

ASCO have been established for over 50 years and we will continue to enrich our communities, to nurture and develop the skills needed during the transition and to provide both a strong legacy and a bright future for the generation to come.

Our focus has to be as a responsible company for our clients, investors, employees and communities.

Stay safe,

Peter France
