Dear all,
The speed at which the world is having to respond to the spread of COVID-19 around the globe is really challenging us all, personally, emotionally, operationally and economically.
This virus has had an impact on all of us and we all have concerns as we juggle a raft of new challenges, whether it be home schooling, childcare arrangements or caring for elderly parents and grandparents. Or whether it is simply acclimatising to the new measures we all need to take to stay safe in our day to day life.
We are adapting to the significant change in our social interaction, working day and location and I would like to thank everyone in ASCO for the way that you have responded over the last few weeks. The calm and considered manner that you have all gone about your business has been a credit to you and to ASCO and shows that in the face of adversity we all pull together.
I also would like to recognise all of our amazing colleagues working very hard every day on the front line to keep operations going. Your steadfast efforts are critical in ensuring the ongoing operation of the Oil and Gas industry providing the world with the energy it needs to deliver vital services to our communities.
Safety is and remains our fundamental obsession and the well-being of all employees and stakeholders is our number one focus. Even though we are in a difficult situation please remember that if it is not safe to do it then DON'T do it. I emphasised this message on a call with all of our customers last Wednesday.
As I said the manner of response from all ASCO employees has been exemplary, but we cannot relax and need to continue to work as hard as we can to ensure the continuity of our operations in a safe manner. What we collectively achieve in the next few weeks and months will help ensure we come out of the other side of this crisis, strong and positioned to continue to grow.
Please take care of yourself, your families and look out for your colleagues, friends and neighbours. We are all in this together and we will all come through it together.
Kind regards,
Peter France
