As COVID-19 continues to spread, it has been necessary for the ASCO Management Board to take some important decisions that are aimed at protecting everyone and slowing down any further spread of the virus.
Business Travel - International business travel has now been put on hold. If international travel is deemed business critical, then a risk assessment will be conducted and approval granted from AMB prior to arrangements being made.
Face-to-face meetings - To reduce the need for face-to-face meetings, every effort must be made to utilise technology for business meetings e.g. Skype or Video Conferencing.
Visitors - A communication will be issued to all potential visitors to ASCO sites to inform them of what is required before they will be permitted access to our sites. This will contain advice on the requirements for self-isolation and good personal hygiene.
Sharing of food - Food should be individually wrapped and sharing avoided wherever possible. Where fruit is provided, you should wash or peel before consuming and ensure that you maintain high standards of hygiene before preparing meals and beverages.
To effectively deal with this outbreak, it is imperative that we maintain our consistency across all parts of the business and ensure that the actions that are taken are in line with official guidance. We will continue to provide regular communications and updates for everyone.
Kind Regards,
The ASCO Management Board
