Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 0800 - 1630
We are currently seeking a driver to work within our Freight Agency Team and to primarily ensure the safe and efficient transport of client freight from/to vessels and their respective destinations. Driving various vehicles, up to 3500kg dropside trucks. Deliveries to the west coast of Scotland will be required on occasion. Minibuses will also be driven when required to transport crew members to and from vessels, airports, appointments etc.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily inspections of vehicles and report any faults to Supervisor.
- Plan and organise deliveries to ensure that deadlines are met.
- Ensure goods are loaded, secured and transported safely.
- Ensure crew members are transported safely.
- Complete and file company documents correctly.
- Keep vehicles in good/clean condition.
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Vehicle Banksman/Forklift spotter.
- Manual handling.
Minimum Qualifications
- Full UK driving license (standard UK category B)
- Numerate / literate

- Experience of working in a harbour environment
- Vehicle Banksman/Forklift Spotter
- Dangerous Goods Awareness
