Kristiansund Base AS is a part of our base network in Norway and has performed total logistics and supply base operations since 2009. The base in Averøya has successfully provided full logistics support for "wildcat" drilling operations
Kristiansund Base is situated near Kristiansund and Molde airports in mid-Norway and is an excellent location for operations in the Norwegian Sea and for traditional port traffic. With its excellent harbour facilities, the base is in an area designed for industrial use. The high quality infrastructure ensures easy access by land and sea and provides cost effective long-term storage options for clients.
We also have an office in Kristiansund with indoor and outside storage areas close to Vestbase.
The team at Kristiansund Base have gained extensive supply chain experience from coordinating all aspects of logistics support during development and wildcat drilling operations. The base is delivering support to both on and offshore projects for various operators and service companies operating in the Norwegian Sea such as OMV, Transocean, SAR, Songa Offshore, Shell, Schlumberger MI Swaco, Lundin, Centrica, Wintershall, Mærsk Oil Norway AS, Technip, Subsea 7, Tenaris, BG Group AS.
In recent years, the supply base has supported drilling operations from the DeepSea Bergen, Songa Encourage, Songa Enabler, Transocean Winner, Transocean Spitsbergen, Transocean Barents, Bideford Dolphin, West Alpha and Songa Delta.
The base area also includes suppliers who handle drilling waste/cuttings, tank cleaning, general/hazardous waste, wet bulk, NDT, welding/grinding, construction, lifts, supplier of hoses and hose fittings, manning etc.
The base is secured in accordance with ISPS and NOG regulations and operates in accordance with ISO 9001/14001:2015.

Waste management
ASCO Norge have many years of experience receiving waste from offshore. Our Safety Advisor works with our return department to evaluates waste flow and dangerous goods.
The waste process management is performed in close collaboration with our sub-contractor SAR AS, who have been handling industrial waste for over 30 years and are fully accredited with the necessary authority approvals.
